My bicycle fell over right on the mirror and smashed it, my fault not the mirror's. But it makes me think they should use a plastic or metal mirror, or you could experiment adding a rubber washer (from a sink facet) as a type of "shock absorber" in one or two of the joints.

Comments:
I'm a casual rider, but frequently ride with family or on city streets. Craning my neck to see what's behind me or looking for family had been a tricky/risky move for me. Putting on the Mirrycle Mirror allows a quick eye check to see status of family or be aware of approaching vehicles. The rugged construction makes it a great choice for the wet or dirty riding conditions. I've only needed to adjust the tension once to hold the mirror angle in place, but I keep the hex wrench in the seat bag just in case.
